For the health and wellbeing of all children, Washington Grade School #52 is providing lunch to all children under the age of 18 in our area. The serving area is Washington Middle School, 1100 N. Main Street. Pickup will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.on Wednesday, March 18th. We are asking you to use the front circle drive as a drive-thru, meals will be brought out to you. March 16-20 Hours #thisisd52


District 52 Schools will be closed during the week of March 16th. Per directives from Governor Pritzker, all schools in Illinois will close starting March 17th. D52 along with other area schools are closing on the 16th. All five days will be considered Connected Learning days. Students have been given information regarding the learning tasks. These tasks are also posted on our website under the “For Parents” tab. The school closure directive is also for the week of March 23rd, however, District 52 will be on spring break that week. As of right now, students will be coming back to school on Tuesday, March 31st.

The PTC Spring Carnival scheduled for Saturday, March 14th has been canceled. The PTC will have further communication regarding a possible reschedule and/or refunds.

Due to the weather conditions, District 52 schools are closed today, Wednesday February 26th. Today will be a connected learning day.


Our chess team members captured first place in BOTH 7th and 8th grade sections at the Tazewell County tournament last Saturday.. Overall, we finished with six individuals placing in their grade level top 10! We’re looking forward to the IESA State Tournament next weekend!
