The new Lincoln Grade School is really starting to take shape as the gym walls are going up! Today brought an especially exciting milestone as the LGS logo officially went up on the building!
It’s exciting to see the vision for our new school becoming a reality, one piece at a time. We can’t wait to continue watching our new LGS come to life!

On November 3, 2026, voters in Tazewell County will vote on a 1% County Schools Facility Tax, also known as a one-cent tax. We’re excited to share our new video that explains the importance of this referendum and how it will improve educational support for students across our schools.
If approved, this referendum will provide critical funding to support school safety and security, improve facilities, and provide property tax protection through a new revenue source.

What an amazing week at Camp Invention!
Our campers spent the week designing, building, testing, investigating, and innovating through hands-on STEM experiences. From space exploration and forensic science to entrepreneurship and invention design, students developed creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while having a blast with friends.
A huge thank you to our incredible camp counselors, volunteers, and organizers for making this week possible. Your energy, leadership, and dedication helped inspire the next generation of innovators!

This week, the campers have designed their own planet models, conducted forensic investigations using fingerprints, refined inventions through market research and branding, and explored how technology can be miniaturized to solve real-world challenges. Along the way, they have continued building critical thinking, collaboration, and engineering skills through hands-on STEM experiences.
A special thank you to our incredible camp counselors and volunteers who help make these experiences possible. Their enthusiasm, leadership, and dedication create an environment where creativity thrives and young inventors are encouraged to take risks, solve problems, and have fun learning.
